I live in Kingman and was 3 years old at the time of the explosion. I remember my Dad being very sad for a long long time. He was Exalted Ruler of the Elks in 1973 and officiated at a lot of the funerals. On top of that I remember being rushed from downtown Kingman to my parents house on Hilltop through Clack's Canyon, a road with light traffic normally, and remember a lot of cars of not a traffic jam. I don't remember hearing the explosion, but I am certain there was no way I could have not heard it, but what I do remember is sensing something was very very wrong and it felt like something bad was going on. This may have just been that the daucare I was at was run by a family full of fire fighter...
